With a turbocharged and intercooled 2.0-liter VTEC® engine that delivers 315 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque, the Civic Type R is not only highly responsive, but also boasts an impressive power-weight ratio.

6-Speed Manual Transmission

For better balance while braking into corners, the 6-speed manual transmission features rev-match control, which keeps engine and vehicle speeds in sync during downshifting. A Civic Type R-exclusive shift link mechanism makes shifting even smoother.

Triple-Outlet Exhaust

Whether you’re ripping down a straightaway on the track or cruising through the city, the center-mounted triple-outlet exhaust’s Active Exhaust Valve strikes the perfect chord. Each mode of the 4-mode drive system features its own specially tuned exhaust note.

A 48% larger grille opening than the previous-generation Civic Type R and a wide, low hood vent help maximize engine cooling while minimizing airflow resistance. Optimized brake ducts help keep front brakes cooler through multiple laps of circuit driving.

Stability

Side underbody spoilers, front fender outlets, and integrated rear fenders help guide airflow and maintain consistent air pressure around the wheels for optimal stability in and out of turns.

Downforce

The track-tested rear spoiler and diffuser designs, including die-cast aluminum wing stays, help increase downforce and control air resistance.

After your lap, Honda LogR® lets you take a look back and see your driving data mapped to the course. Scoring analyzes your overall skill and breaks down your performance on individual curves, with advice on how to improve your driving ability and lap times.

Navigation System

The Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System™ uses offline maps, so you’ll always be able to find your way even in areas without a cell-phone signal. In addition to directions, it also features lane guidance to help you prepare for upcoming turns.

Honda Sensing®

Honda Sensing® is a suite of safety and assistance features designed to make driving easier and help protect you and your passengers. When activated, these features use sensor inputs to automatically provide alerts, and can also provide steering and braking assistance as needed.
