Performance

The new Honda Prologue offers a full driving range of up to 300 miles thanks to its 100-kWh battery. It also comes with an electric motor mounted to the rear. This powertrain delivers around 325 lb-ft of torque and about 340 horsepower.

The Prologue’s transmission is a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission that allows you to change gears without effort. It comes with an innovative gear ratio that changes gear weights based on the acceleration rate of the vehicle. The transmission also features a fully automatic mode that you can use in slow-moving traffic conditions or when the vehicle is coasting. Also, you can switch the transmission to single- or double-drive mode depending on your preference. On top of this, the vehicle automatically allows for energy regeneration under certain driving conditions.

The 2024 Prologue is available in all-wheel drive or front-wheel drive. Its comfort and stability are near guaranteed on most terrains, as it has an advanced double-wishbone suspension system. When it comes to ground clearance, the new Prologue has about 7.8 inches. This helps deliver a higher and more all-encompassing view of the road. In addition, the SUV offers a well-balanced ride on 18-inch or 17-inch alloy wheels.

Safety

The new Prologue comes with Honda’s next-generation lane-keep assist system. This safety technology uses radar and digital cameras to detect objects, curbs, road markings, and lane markers. When your vehicle gets too close to an object on the side of the road or drifts out of a lane, it automatically alerts you by vibrating the steering wheel. Other safety features of the new Prologue include:

Infotainment and Connectivity

Standing tall and proud in the center of the new Prologue’s dashboard in an 11.3-inch infotainment touchscreen. It’s unclear whether the system will switch to a re-skinned version of GM’s Google-based system or run a version of Honda’s latest software interface. In either case, you can expect features such as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a Wi-Fi hotspot, in-dash navigation, and a wireless smartphone charging pad.

The 2024 Honda Prologue also comes standard with an 11-inch digital gauge display. It also offers an optional Bose stereo system with tweeter speakers that sit within the vehicle’s A-pillars. However, the base model has a non-branded stereo with fewer speakers.

Trims

The Prologue will be available in four trims, with each trim having its own set of features. These trims include the LX, EX, EX-L, and Touring. The top trims come with leather personalization, a large panoramic moonroof, and many other exclusive features. The EX and LX trims have a USB charging port for audio players and personal electronic devices, dual-zone climate control, auto-dimming mirrors, an automatic grille shutter, a rearview camera, and multi-directional heated seats.

In addition, the premium trims come with an extended underbody screen that provides extra built-in storage space. All trim levels have a highly advanced power-steering system that helps you drive more easily, even in challenging conditions.

Warranty and Maintenance Coverage

The 2024 Prologue comes with the same warranty that you get with all other new Honda models, which is similar to other electric SUVs from mainstream car manufacturers. Honda’s standard coverage package also includes two years of complimentary scheduled maintenance as a bonus. Details of this coverage include:

• Powertrain warranty: This covers five years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first.
• Limited warranty: This covers 36,000 miles or three years, whichever comes first.
• Complimentary scheduled maintenance: This is covered for 24,000 miles or two years, whichever comes first.
