2023 Honda Passport Seating Capacity

Are you looking to buy an SUV to ferry your family around? Then consider the 2023 Honda Passport! Besides impressive on-road performance, this midsize SUV also has a solidly built and refined cabin that offers plenty of passenger and cargo room. Moreover, it comes with a wide array of standard tech and safety features to provide an enjoyable and safe ride. Let’s find out more about the seats and other interior features of the 2023 Honda Passport to see if it can meet your needs and expectations.

Seating Capacity and Comfort

Does the Honda Passport have a third row? No, it doesn’t. It’s a two-row SUV that seats up to five passengers. Unlike some other crossovers that have tight rear seats with only enough room for smaller people, this new Honda can comfortably accommodate full-sized adults in both rows. Front passengers enjoy 40.9 inches of legroom and 39.5 inches of headroom, while those in the back are able to stretch out with 39.6 inches of legroom and 40 inches of headroom.

Aside from being spacious, the seats of the Passport also come with desirable standard features to provide extra comfort and relaxation. These features include leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a 10-way power driver’s seat with memory settings, a four-way power front passenger seat, and heated front seats. If that isn’t enough, you can opt for upgrades, such as a heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats, heated second-row seats, and rear side-window sunshades.

Interior Quality and Features

The interior of the 2023 Honda Passport is fitted with an abundance of high-quality materials and an aesthetically pleasing trim to create a classy and relaxing atmosphere. In addition, it features tri-zone automatic climate control and second-row vents to keep everybody comfortable in extreme temperatures. There’s also a remote start system that allows you to start your vehicle and cool down or warm up the cabin before you step inside. The cockpit is equipped with certain features to provide a modern driving experience, such as a push-button start and a unique push-button shifter console.

You’ll also appreciate other conveniences, such as a wireless phone charger and HomeLink remote control. HomeLink allows you to perform a wide range of tasks in your home from your vehicle, including opening and closing your front gate or garage door, controlling your security system, and turning on and off your home electronics, appliances, and lighting. Another notable feature is the one-touch moonroof that opens up the cabin to fresh air and natural light.

Cargo Capacity

If you enjoy going on outdoor adventures or road trips, then you’ll be glad to know that the 2023 Honda Passport has one of the largest cargo capacities in its segment. It offers 41.2 cubic feet of storage space behind the rearmost seats and an impressive 77.7 cubic feet once you fold those seats down. That’s enough to fit an entire family’s luggage and belongings or some bulky items, such as sports or camping equipment. Furthermore, the Honda SUV has a standard power liftgate and an optional hands-free liftgate to make it easier for you to load and unload cargo.

Infotainment Features

The Honda Passport keeps you and your family connected and entertained with an intuitive and responsive infotainment system that’s loaded with features. Every model comes standard with an 8-inch touch-screen display, satellite radio, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, four USB ports, HD radio, wireless device charging, Bluetooth, and a seven-speaker stereo. Optional features include a 10-speaker premium stereo, a Wi-Fi hotspot, voice recognition, and navigation.

Driver Assistance Features

Other than a long list of comfort and tech features, the Honda Passport provides a wide array of standard driver assistance features to keep you safe on the road. These features include adaptive cruise control, forward collision alert, forward automated emergency braking, road departure mitigation, lane departure alert, front and back parking sensors, blind-spot detection, rear cross-traffic warning, automated high-beam headlights, and a rearview camera. For enhanced safety in bad weather, you can equip your SUV with the available rain-sensing windshield wipers.

Trim Levels and Prices

The 2023 Honda Passport is available in three trim levels: the base EX-L, the off-road-oriented TrailSport, and the range-topping Elite. The EX-L is already generously outfitted, offering an extensive list of comfort, convenience, infotainment, and safety features. Some of its standard features, such as leather upholstery, driver’s seat with memory settings, and tri-zone automatic climate control, are only found in higher-end SUVs.

The TrailSport, with its distinctive grille and power-bulge hood, looks more rugged than the EX-L. It also adds functional exterior features, such as roof rails, a heated wiper zone, and power-folding side mirrors. On the inside, the midtier trim gets a sporty instrument panel, navigation touch screen, ambient lighting, and rear-window sunshades. The cabin looks more refreshing with unique orange stitching and bandaging.

The most extravagant interior belongs to the Elite. If you enjoy listening to music, you’ll love the top trim’s 540-watt 10-speaker premium surround-sound audio system. There’s also a Wi-Fi hotspot to help you stay connected everywhere you go. In addition, the Elite offers a more comfortable and convenient ride with a heated steering wheel, cooled front seats, heated back seats, and a hands-free liftgate. You’ll also be able to use the Smart Entry feature with Walk Away Auto Lock function to lock or unlock your vehicle easily.

The EX-L trim of the Honda Passport has a starting MSRP of $41,100, while the TrailSport costs at least $43,600. If you have your eye on the Elite, be prepared to spend $46,560 or more.
